PA Creative Aging Pilot Project

2015 Pennsylvania Creative Aging Pilot Project – Project Example from Crispus Attucks Senior Center in York, PA. This collaboration between the PA Dept. of Aging and the PA Council on the Arts was developed to bring new opportunities to seniors by providing arts learning opportunities. The 14 projects in this first phase created engaging, accepting and inspiring environments at senior centers across the state.

The concept and development of "Power Within" is inspired by the strength fighting Cancer requires of the patient, the medical team and those who love and support both sides.The project was developed to encourage art appreciation and increase the awareness of the role nature plays in fighting Cancer.   This exhibit traveled throughout Bradford, Cameron, Elk, Forest, Jefferson and McKean counties.and stopped at eight venues for display between March 2013 and January 2014
